Dear Friend,

Hope you’ve cleared your calendar for this Saturday, August 23rd, at 2:00
PM at DENNY’S at Scottsdale and Osborn Roads, because we’re going to have
a great speaker who will talk with us on the topic of “The Immigration
Crisis.” I refer of course to REP. MARTIN QUEZADA, Democrat,
Attorney-at-Law, from Legislative District 29.

After his presentation, there will be a question and answer period.

Please note: DENNY’S requires that each person attending purchase a meal,
or a significant dessert.

My Mom’s in the hospital right now at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, but
she’s improving. She got very dehydrated and had a small bowel
obstruction, but, thanks to the treatment strategy of “resting the
stomach” with an NG tube, it has resolved itself and the critical plumbing
is working again. Mom was the president of our club, as many of you know,
in 1976. I have a fond memory of her starting off one meeting by reading a
quotation from that great classic W.C. FIELDS FOR PRESIDENT. It never
hurts to have a sense of humor in this world.

Anyway, please join us this Saturday to hear MARTIN’S viewpoint on the
important issue of immigration, so much in the news these days. Bring your
questions and your open ears.
